FLORIDA HIGH BASEBALL HALL OF FAME 2009
Florida High inducted DAVID ROSS to the Hall of Fame on Tuesday, February 24, 2009. David attended Florida High from 1992-1995 and was on the 1994 State Runner-up team. He was on 3 Junior Olympic teams earning 2 gold medals and 1 silver. He was drafted by the Dodgers in the 19th round out of high school but chose to go to college.
He Attended both Auburn and University of Florida, where he played in two College World Series. With the Gators David hit .332 with 21 doubles, 19 HR and 70 RBI's and he still holds records for a catcher at UF in a number of categories.
He was drafted again by the Dodgers in the 7th round in 1998 and worked his way up through the minors getting called to the Major Leagues in 2002. David has been on three play off teams. His best year he hit .255, 21 HR and 51 RBI's. He also lead the NL in throw out % in 2007.
Has been with LA Dodgers, Pittsburg Pirates, Sand Diego Padres, Cincinnati Reds, Boston Red Sox and just signed a two year contract to play with the Atlanta Braves. David is entering his 7th big league season.

Florida High inducted DEAN PALMER to the Hall of Fame on Thursday, April 17, 2008. Dean was a member of the 1986 Florida High State Champion baseball team. He was drafted in the 3rd round by the Texas Rangers. He played 14 years in the Major League for three different teams, Texas Rangers, Kansas City Royals and the Detroit Tigers. Dean was a member of the 1998 American League All-Star team and won two Silver Slugger Awards. He finished his career with
